Despite progress and increased awareness around gender diversity, women still only account for approximately 
22% of the global AI workforce. Research indicates that among tech jobs in the United States, women hold about 
35%, which drops when you specifically look at leadership roles where only 
11% are women (
Forbes). Furthermore, the disparity becomes even more pronounced within AI, where women often face not only exclusion from the technical sphere but also from decision-making roles that can affect the direction of AI technologies.
